PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

 

Premium quality tough low sheen polyurethane enamel for use on interior and exterior surfaces.

 

 

USES:

 

  • Ideal for use on suitably primed plastered walls, wood and metal surfaces.
  • The perfect product for bathroom walls and ceilings requiring a low sheen finish.
  • Ideal for use on high traffic areas or surfaces that may require frequent washing.
  • Ideal for painting doors, windows, cupboards and skirtings.

PRODUCT INFORMATION:

 

  • Type: Polyurethane Alkyd.
  • Appearance: Low Sheen.
  • Colors: White, black and a range of colors. Pastel, Medium and Deep tone colors can be tinted on request.
  • Solids: 61% by mass and 43% by volume.
  • Density: 1.22.
  • Recommended Dry Film Thickness: Minimum 25 µm and maximum 35µm.
  • Specific Gravity: 1.22.
  • Flash Point: Flammable at 34ºC.

 

 

APPLICATION DETAILS:

 

  • Mixing: Do not stir or thin as this will break down de gel structure.
  • Method: Short nap mohair roller or brush.
  • Thinning: Do not thin.
  • Clean up: Mineral Turpentine.
  • Spreading rate: 9 m ²/l depending on surface porosity and profile.
  • Conditions: Avoid painting in wet or cold weather. Minimum temp 8º C
  • Drying time: Touch dry 1 hour. Hard dry 8 hours at 25 degrees.
  • Requirements: 2 coats.

 

 

SURFACE PREPARATION:

 

    • New Surfaces must be sound, clean and dry before painting.
      • Cement: Prime with 1 coat Versus Plaster Primer followed with 2 coats of Versus Versathane Polyurethane Enamel.
      • Wooden surfaces: Apply Versus Pink Wood Primer followed with Versus Universal Undercoat prior to the application of 2 coats Versus Versathane Polyurethane Enamel.
      • Rusted Metals should be wire brushed or sanded to remove all rust. Prime with Versus Steel Primer. Thereafter apply 2 coats of Versus Versathane Polyurethane enamel.
      • PVC gutters and downpipes should be degreased and then abraded with fine sandpaper. Apply the topcoats.

 

      • Previously Painted Surfaces must be sound, clean and dry before painting.

After all surfaces are sound, clean and dry apply one coat of Versus Universal Undercoat as a tie coat. Other areas that have chalked and are powdery should be well sanded and sealed with Versus Plaster Primer before applying 2 coats of Versus Versathane Polyurethane Enamel..

 

 

STORAGE:

 

      • Keep containers properly sealed.
      • Store away from direct heat, sun and severe cold.

 

 

PACKAGING:

 

      • 1 Liter and 5 Litres.

 

 

PRECAUTIONS:

    • Detailed safety information: refers to the material safety data sheet for this product.
    • Do not apply directly to bare (unprimed) surfaces.
    • Do not paint in wet or cold weather. (Minimum 5ºC.)
    • Drying times will be extended during wet or cold weather conditions.
    • When coating is friable or plastered surfaces apply a generous coat of Versus Plaster Primer.
